The Talking Heads is a Southampton (UK) music venue with a rich history of loud, rowdy shows played mostly to working class audiences.
It has been known by its current name since 1992. Its history goes all the way back to the 1950′s, when it was a pub called the Red Lion offering concerts to the Sunday lunch crowd. Often billed as Southampton’s most eclectic venue, it hosted acts from every conceivable musical tradition, including reggae, punk, world music, indie rock, and roots, and saw acts such as the Dolls, the Damned, and Juliette Lewis.
